Gary's professional background is diverse and grounded in real-world results. As a Unit Manager at Waffle House in Mesa, AZ, he led staff development, operational oversight, and compliance, understanding firsthand the challenges and triumphs of the service industry.
His experience extends to the financial and housing sectors. As a Real Estate Consultant and Senior Finance Associate, Gary supported families in achieving stable housing and developed financial plans for long-term stability. He knows that economic security is the foundation of a strong community.
Additionally, Gary worked for the Board of Educators/Superintendent within the Los Angeles County School District to reap and create better pathways from K-12, to college, to a career field for students enrolled in both the public and private sector schools.
In his role as a Distribution Center Supervisor, Gary supported union transitions and improved workforce culture, proving his ability to navigate complex labor environments and advocate for workers' rights.

Gary's heart lies in community service. As President of the Black Student Union, he led diversity, inclusion, and advocacy programming. His leadership extends across state lines, having developed youth programs, housing support initiatives, food relief projects, and education partnerships in both California and Arizona.
